WAITANGI, New Zealand -- President Arroyo yesterday encouraged Asia Pacific nations to promote interfaith dialogue not only in education and social development but also in media as part of a "blueprint for peace."
The President called for voluntary media regulation as she joined the 3rd Asia-Pacific Interfaith Dialogue that seeks to bring together moderate religious groups to increase understanding of each other.
The dialogues, sponsored by New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and the Philippines in the wake of the 2004 Bali bombings, seek to reduce religious radicalization and terrorist activities.
