Last year, a teenage girl with peanut allergies died after kissing her boyfriend.
He had eaten a peanut butter sandwich hours before. Even though she gave herself an epinephrine injection, the damage was done.
In the U.S. alone, about 12 million people suffer from food allergies. And it's getting worse. Between 1997 and 2002, the number of people reporting peanut allergies doubled.
