Baltimore -- Jake Byrne tuned his television to ESPN on Monday morning and watched a feature story about the Division I national championship lacrosse game.
Byrne starts at attack for Johns Hopkins, which was one of the participants in that game. But curiously, as Byrne watched and watched, he never heard his team mentioned during that title game preview. Johns Hopkins - a program with eight national titles that was playing on Memorial Day weekend in its own backyard - had somehow become an afterthought because its opponent was Duke University and all that name implied.
