LUNENBURG - Jean E. Escabi's success story had very rocky beginnings.
Four years ago, with a 2-year-old son, Michael, and eight months pregnant with her second son, Jacob, Ms. Escabi was divorced, living with her parents and laid off from her job.
"I didn't know what to do. I went to the Mount (Wachusett Community College), and at the same time applied for housing through the Leominster Housing Authority," said Ms. Escabi.
After two years on the waiting list, "I got my own place, a place where I felt safe, could take care of my kids and go to school. The Housing Authority was a great help to me," said Ms. Escabi, ...
