BALTIMORE - With the Duke men's lacrosse program at the center of a year-long drama off the field, it seemed fitting that its season ended with plenty of dramatics on the field. But there would be no storybook ending for the Blue Devils, who overcame a six-goal deficit Monday but came up short in a 12-11 loss to Johns Hopkins in the NCAA championship game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
