ABSTRACT: The correspondence among Latin American Boom figures tells personal and professional stories that are critical for thinking anew about recent Latin American literary history. Princeton's Latin American archive contains numerous letters that tell those stories, including the story of the Princeton collection itself, which was started with manuscripts by Jose Donoso. Letters in the Donoso collection offer models for reading in the Princeton archive more generally.
