Thai court finds Democrat Party not guilty of mailgning ousted prime minister Thaksin
Kuala Lumpur, May 30 (PTI) A Thai court today ruled that the country's oldest political party was not guilty of election law violations, and is expected to give its verdict on a rival party of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra later tonight.
An adverse verdict against Thaksin's Thai Rak Thai party by the Constitutional Tribunal in Bangkok could result in the party's dissolution.
The tribunal cleared the Democrat Party of charges of maligning Thaksin or breaching election laws, with a judge reading out that there had been no legal grounds to disband the ...
