Eviction drive targets noted tourist resort
Kannur, May 30 (PTI) Kerala government's anti- encroachment drive in the district today led to eviction of 1.97 acres of land from illegal occupation and demolition of a building at a renowned private tourist resort.
The officials bulldozed parts of a building at +Kairali tourist resort+ which stood at a 55 cent land orginally owned by the Irrigation Department on the banks of the picturesque Valapattanam river.
The resort owner had removed a portion of structures in the land after receiving notice for eviction.
