A Subway restaurant worker who was injured when an SUV crashed into the West Dundee eatery is suing the 66-year-old driver.
Bhavinsumar Patel of Schaumburg, 22, is the first person to file a lawsuit in the March 17 accident that injured eight people and killed 56-year-old John Venezia, a West Dundee accountant.
Patel, who had been in critical condition after suffering from multiple fractures, is seeking more than $50,000 for injuries suffered in the accident, according to the lawsuit filed this week.
Patel or his attorney could not be reached for comment.
