COLUMBIA, S.C. - An unearned run in the bottom of the seventh inning ended Oregon's softball season in an NCAA Regional championship game Sunday.
The Ducks' 4-3 loss to host South Carolina before 437 fans at Beckham Field made it four times in five years that Oregon's postseason run ended in a regional title game. The Ducks finished the year at 44-19, the second-most wins in school history, while the Gamecocks (38-24) advanced to face No. 2 Northwestern in the Super Regionals.
