May 31--Jimmy Armijo is making up lost time by running. The 9-year-old was born with cerebal palsy and didn't walk until he was 4.
But today, Jimmy is too busy chasing girls, telling jokes to the teachers and preparing for an upcoming school play to be bothered with his constricted muscles that didn't receive enough oxygen.
"I am like a flea; I bounce all over the place," he says, trying to keep up with his Manzanita Elementary School classmates as they move about the playground like locusts attracted to freshly grown crops.
