May 31--Japhus Brown was a hero to some and a villain to others at Royal Memorial Stadium in Austin last November. Brown's interception sealed Texas A&M's 12-7 win over Texas and ended the Longhorns' hopes of reaching the Big 12 championship game.
"That put the icing on the cake," Brown said of his first interception of the season. "Then, I had to hear about it from the good people and the bad people."
The reaction Brown got from Texas A&M fans differed greatly from the reception he received from Texas fans. But the consensus of opinion from those who have known Brown since he attended high school in Edna has been overwhelmingly positive.
