May 30--In an Ohio News Network commercial, Lake County Visitors Bureau Executive Director Robert T. Ulas declares the area's tourist attractions to be "close to home, but out of this world."
Even though Ulas also markets the area's amenities in surrounding states and in national publications such as USA Today, rising gas prices in 2007 have made the proximity of Lake County entertainment a huge selling point to Ohioans.
"Ohio may benefit from high gas prices," he said. "Vacation is like a sacred institution that an overworked society feels it deserves.
