SAN DIEGO - After making the Milwaukee Brewers' roster in something of a surprise in spring training, Tony Gwynn Jr. immediately checked the schedule to see when the club played the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't," the 24-year-old outfielder admitted.
Gwynn had many reasons to be excited about this three-game series.
For starters, this is home, the area in which he grew up and the city in which his father put together a 20-year Hall of Fame career with the Padres.
