The State Department, in its latest round of warnings about world trouble spots, includes the following cautions for international travelers:
_Thailand. Recent arrests of several leading drug traffickers in Thailand have led the State Department to say it is concerned about possible reprisals against American citizens traveling in certain parts of northern Thailand. The areas of greatest concern are Mae Hong Son province and northern Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces. Travelers in Thailand can contact the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok at 66-2-252-5040 or the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai at 66-53-252-629 for the latest security information.
