Acquisition talks between R.L. Hudson & Co. and Grand River Rubber & Plastics Co. have ended.
The two companies reached an impasse in mid-May on key issues and mutually agreed to halt negotiations, according to Grand River President Richard Selip. "We just decided not to make any changes at this time,'' he said.
R.L. Hudson said in November it planned to acquire Grand River-an Ashtabula, Ohio-based manufacturer of lathe-cut seals, extruded rubber goods and belt drives-by the end of 2006 or early 2007. The two rubber product makers have been in negotiations since then.
