Jun. 1--Felder Rushing, a seventh-generation Mississippi gardener, is a hoot. He delivers his Southern gardening expertise with irreverence and humor. He gardens for the love of it and doesn't care a whit if his audience agrees with him, applauds him or even pays attention. Pay attention we invariably do.
He likes bottle trees, tire planters, plastic pink flamingos and gnomes, and he installs them lavishly in his Jackson front and back yards.
