Geneva has strong Swedish roots, but it soon could be in the market for a permanent French connection.
A group of residents are exploring whether the city should form a partnership with Croissy sur Seine, a suburb of Paris.
"It's the kind of thing that you believe has to happen. It just has to get started," said Ernest Mahaffey, part of Geneva's International Cultural Exchange Committee, which is organizing events and gauging interest in whether a long-term relationship can be forged.
