(NYSE:DNA) today announced that a Roche-sponsored, randomized placebo controlled Phase III clinical study (AVAiL) demonstrated that Avastin([R]) (bevacizumab), studied at two different doses in combination with gemcitabine and cisplatin chemotherapy, significantly increased the time patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) lived without their disease advancing, as defined by progression-free survival (PFS).
