Jun. 3--GOOD ADVICE: In response to sign thefts, campaigner Tom Holmes suggests to his fellow-sign posters: Take your signs in around sunset.
Now in Mountain View, where two groups are straining to influence the city council's vote on developing longtime farmland into housing, that old sign-stealing thing is going on.
The signs in question read: "Defending Our Neighborhood, NO FARM." They've disappeared twice and, after the second time, NO FARM campaigner Tom Holmes had some good advice for his fellow-sign posters: Take your signs in around sunset.
