BEDFORD, Mass., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Opta Food Ingredients, Inc. (Nasdaq: OPTS) today reported revenues of $1.1 million for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1994, compared with revenue of $1.0 million in the same period last year. The net loss for the fourth quarter of 1994 was $883,000, or $.12 per share, a 40 percent improvement over the net loss of $1.5 million, or $.30 per share reported in the prior year period. Per share figures reflect the increase in shares outstanding from 4.8 million to 7.4 million which was primarily due to a private placement of stock during the second quarter of 1994.
