GLENDALE -- Whatever his marital spat, the divorcing bank robber known as the Irreconcilable Differences Bandit is irrefutably polite.
The serial robber linked to 14 bank heists while going through a divorce hit three banks Friday in Burbank and Glendale -- and apologized to at least one woman teller, the FBI reported.
"At the Citibank in Glendale, he asked the teller if 'she was having a good day,' then apologized to the teller for 'the transfer.' At that point she read a note saying, 'I HAVE A GUN," FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
