WHILE THE Annual Conference for Catalog and Multichannel Merchants continues to redefine itself as a multichannel retail show with a bigger emphasis on Internet marketing strategies this year, the topic likely to be on the minds of most attendees in Boston this week is more catalog-specific--the recent postage increase.
The rate hike that went into effect on May 14 may be the No. 1 topic at ACCM May 21-23.
"The squeeze is on and catalogers will be looking for ways to reduce costs," said Mike Muoio, CEO of Lillian Vernon, Virginia Beach, VA.
