The Women's National Basketball Association has seen 10 successful years, but still faces rumors of the league folding. Tipping off its 11th season, the league maintains it is more than surviving-it is thriving.

"It's a fantastic game," says Renee Brown, the WNBA's chief of basketball operations and player relations. "We're just very happy that we've started our second decade. I never from the beginning had any doubts about the WNBA. I knew when [NBA Commissioner] David Stern and the NBA made a decision to start a women's professional league in the country, it was going to be a hit."
