WORCESTER - Even though he has no plea agreement to testify, Thomas J. Vigliatura will be called to testify in the U.S. District Court trial of Heriberto Arroyo, his co-defendant in a drug conspiracy case.
Mr. Vigliatura, who pleaded guilty last week, will be compelled to testify tomorrow. If he does not testify, he can be held in contempt of court, Assistant U.S. Attorney George W. Vien said.
Mr. Vien said he has been told different things as to whether Mr. Vigliatura is willing to testify for the prosecution, but most recently he was told that the 38-year-old former bodybuilding champion will refuse to testify.
