LAGRANGE, Ga.--The fire which blazed through Milliken Carpet's Live Oak/Milstar Complex here has left more than 700 people out of work and has retailers wondering how Milliken will keep up with the demand for its products.
"We started getting phone messages from Milliken the day after the fire saying 'nothing will change,' but I don't see how this can help but affect their business," says a Milliken customer, Bob Batt, vice president and area rugs buyer for the Nebraska Furniture Martin Omaha.
