Jun. 7--A day after Palo Alto High School added another chapter to the age-old tale of a senior prank gone wrong, scores of students raised their voices in protest over the felony vandalism arrest of an 18-year-old varsity baseball player and graduating senior in connection with the incident.
The student, Blaine Marchant -- and, by many accounts, as many as two dozen other classmates -- allegedly took advantage of a 15-minute window between security guard shifts in the wee hours Tuesday morning to overturn Marchant's 1994 Volvo station wagon onto a wooden deck in the campus' main quad.
