Jun. 7--Live with vultures, become a vulture; live with crows, become a crow.
-- Laotian proverb
Dear Gary:
Early the other morning I looked out on our back lawn to see a crow pecking furiously at something. He then flew off and I went out to investigate.
What I found was what seemed to be a freshly killed large rat.
Would the crow have somehow killed the rat or was he just an opportunist? I removed the rat carcass, and later noticed the crow returning to the same spot.
