CARE homes are set to be given an overhaul thanks to a pounds 205,000 Government grant.
A total of 24 care homes, including Brookvale Care Home in Solihull and Colebrook Respite Unit, in Chelmsley Wood, will receive a slice of the cash.
It is part of the Government's dignity campaign which aims to place respect at the heart of caring for older people.
Improvements will directly benefit residents by improving gardens to encourage outdoor exercise, upgrading dining rooms and residents' bedrooms and bathrooms.
