Jun. 8--Labor leaders and two Allentown public officials lauded the city's support Thursday of pro-labor legislation pending in Congress, saying it is a step toward rebuilding the middle class.
"It will materially benefit the lives of many people who live in the city," said City Councilman Michael D'Amore, who with Mayor Ed Pawlowski, touted the endorsement before labor leaders and supporters at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 375 on W. Liberty Street, Allentown.
