Jun. 9--Former Berry College tennis player Susannah Cook from Signal Mountain has a pet project starting Sunday at the Champions Club.
It's a junior team tennis league customized for the ages and experience of the players. The six-week league is for boys and girls up to age 18, and young beginners can play other young novices on shortened courts with foam balls. Also available are "transition balls" for players making progress and, of course, regular tennis balls and court sizes for those with some experience.
Players under 10 will play from 2 to 3 p.m. each Sunday, and 12- and 14-under play runs 3-4:30. The 18-unders play 4:30-6.
