WORCESTER - The sound of organ music being played inside the Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Assumption College yesterday afternoon could be heard drifting pleasantly outside and traveling around the pleasing June sunlit green and leafy campus. And maybe beyond that to Russia.
For the first time in its eight-year history, what is described as Russia's only international organ competition, The Mikael Tariverdiev International Organ Competition of Kaliningrad, is holding a preliminary round in North America.
