WORCESTER - Morris A. Bergman, a local lawyer and vice chairman of the city Zoning Board of Appeals, is running for city councilor at-large.
Mr. Bergman, 43, of Kensington Heights, said one of his top goals would be to draw new business to the city. A 5 percent increase in the commercial tax base would yield another $2.5 million in annual revenue, he said.
"Not only is it modest, it's extremely doable," he said.
Mr. Bergman, known as Mo, said the city should consider developing the 1,300 acres that make up
Worcester Regional Airport, which has had trouble attracting commercial airlines.
