Jun. 10--Paris Hilton's first exit from the Los Angeles County jail might have been beneficial to her own health as well as the blood pressure of local law enforcement officials, but it was bad news indeed for the literary genre known as the prison memoir.
According to the New York Daily News, Hilton had been planning to publish her diary of captivity later this year, presumably after months of work by a proofreader and a printer willing to reproduce those tiny little hearts she uses to dot her i's.
It would now seem that Hilton's memoir will be consigned to the publishing scrap heap next to Jack Abramoff's "Friendship: ...
