Jun. 11--Coordinators at the St. Andrews Center are planning a full-time theater initiative after putting on what they call a successful presentation of a Hispanic play at the center.
"I'm hoping we'll have both adult and youth participating," said Mike Feely, director for the St. Andrews Center in Highland Park, which houses various other nonprofit organizations. "It's a goal to have a full-time, midtown production. We're looking at this as a part of a whole art strategy."
Mr. Feely said the initiative aims at reaching minority students from Chattanooga and Dalton, Ga., who otherwise would not be exposed to the arts. ...
