Describing The Handbook of Student Affairs Administration, an edited collection of original chapters, is a little like explaining the geography of California. There are peaks and valleys, green spaces and swamps, flatlands, and ocean inlets. Some chapters in this handbook are peak experiences, rich with insight and of considerable value; others are flat, dry, uninspired, and elementary.
