Jun. 12--Jay Zucker insists he is not selling the Tucson Sidewinders strictly to make a profit, but for several more relevant reasons.

One, after an epic 2006 championship season, attendance remains lamentably low; community enthusiasm toward the Sidewinders is typically flat.

Two, he no longer chooses for his family to spend so much time at the ballpark.

Three, he failed to attract a partner who would buy 30 percent of the club; an investor who could relieve the monthly burden after a $4.5 million loan Zucker required to buy the Sidewinders.

What Zucker most regrets is that he couldn't find a group ...
