Jun. 12--Almost one in three high school students will fail to graduate with their peers, according to a report released Tuesday.
In a state-specific supplement to the "Diplomas Count" report from the publishers of Education Week, Oklahoma in 2003-04 exceeded the average graduation rate nationally by just a tick -- 70.4 percent to 69.9 percent. Oklahoma Hispanic men graduated 43.6 percent of the time in 2003-04, the lowest group in the state.
The annual report looks at graduation and career and college preparation state by state and district by district.
