RealNetworks will have available next month a new and free media player for PCs that will let users save streaming video files that are in any of the major video formats, including Flash, QuickTime, RealMedia and Windows Media, according to company founder, chairman and CEO Rob Glaser in a talk at the Wall Street Journal's "D: All Things Digital" conference.
Most significant in the announcement is that it includes Flash .flv files, which are the most popular format for video on the Net. YouTube, the Net's most popular video-sharing site, Google, Yahoo, ...
