Jun. 13--Almost one in three high school students nationally-- more than 1 million in all -- will fail to graduate with their peers, according to a report released Tuesday.
In a supplement to the "Diplomas Count" report from the publishers of Education Week, Oklahoma in 2003-04 exceeded the average graduation rate nationally by a tick -- 70.4 percent to 69.9 percent.
Hispanic men graduated 43.6 percent of the time in 2003-04, the lowest group in the state.
The report looked at graduation and career and college preparation by state and school district.
