Jun. 13--WAVERLY -- For some, God is a Sunday thing.
At the Bremwood campus in Waverly -- a Lutheran Services in Iowa residential treatment center for at-risk youth -- faith shows up in all sorts of places. The integration of spirituality into daily life and campus programming is intentional, said campus Pastor Dennis Bauer.
"Everything about (Lutheran Services in Iowa) is about faith," Pastor Bauer said.
That's why Pastor Bauer thinks it's fitting that an 18-foot cross will eventually stand at the south entrance of an in-progress spiritual life center. The cross will serve as a towering reminder of Christ's ...
