Jun. 13--A single employee with the city of Brownsville's Traffic Department surveyed each vehicle Tuesday afternoon as it drove down FM 802 near the Dana Avenue intersection and slowly jotted his observations.
That same intersection was witness to two deaths late Monday night, and a total of five since March 2006, according to Brownsville police.
Robert Esparza, traffic director for the city, offered his condolences to the families suffering from the loss and assured them his department would look at the number of fatal and non-fatal accidents that have been reported at that intersection in hopes to ...
