After millions of TV viewers realized their cable had not gone kaput Sunday night, I wonder how many appreciated the wonderful kernel of truth that David Chase, "The Sopranos" creator, tucked into his farewell episode.
Whether or not you believe Tony Soprano and his family were massacred as they munched on onion rings at Holstein's Diner in Bloomfield, N.J., they were delivered there in much the same way that our favorite hood was delivered into exile.
"Made in America," the 86th and final episode in this iconic series, confirmed what many of us in Whitey Bulger country discovered long ago.
