Emerald Valley Golf Club will host the largest and longest-running amateur golf event in the Pacific Northwest next month.
The Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA) Men's Amateur will draw 168 top men's players to the Creswell course for two rounds of stroke play July 9 and 10. The lowest 64 scorers in the qualifying rounds advance to up to four days of match play, providing some exciting competition.
"We call it our March Madness," said Troy Andrew, director of communications for the PNGA.
The winner of six matches will claim a title formerly won by Tiger Woods and Jeff Quinney.
