Jun. 14--Wednesday began as a rare day off for center fielder Aaron Rowand.
It ended with him torturing his old team as the Phillies reached another peak in their up-and-down season.
After entering the game as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning, Rowand delivered a game-tying RBI groundout. He provided the winning margin one inning later, crushing a grand slam to punctuate an 8-4 victory over the White Sox at Citizens Bank Park.
Rowand's grand slam, his first since Aug. 18, 2004, against Detroit, gave him five RBIs, tying his career high. It also helped the Phillies complete a sweep of the White Sox, the team that ...
