HOLDEN - The mother who accused a Wachusett Regional School District faculty member of discrimination Monday night said yesterday she based her complaint on a thirdhand account that the faculty member had used an inappropriate word when referring to her child, and the feeling for two weeks afterward that her two black children with special needs were being discriminated against.

School Superintendent Thomas G. Pandiscio yesterday said the allegations are untrue.
