The peso exchange rate closed higher at P46.67 to the US dollar yesterday at the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp., (PDEx) from P46.73 the previous day. The weighted average rate appreciated to P46.509 from P46.594. Total volume amounted to $ 407.5 million.
Ayala Corp. bares dividends
Conglomerate Ayala Corporation said yesterday its board of directors has approved the declaration of regular and special cash dividends. Ayala Corp. will pay a regular cash dividend of R2 per share and a special cash dividend of R2 per share on July 31 to stockholders on record as of July 6.
