Jun. 14--What do teenagers drive, other than parents crazy?

Not the Mustangs or Corvettes they fantasize about, but mostly new or used Honda Civics.

That's the finding of a study by Quality Planning Corp., a San Francisco-based firm that works with insurance companies to reduce underwriting costs. It divined what teens drive from the cars they insure.

"We found the time-honored battle between teen desires and parental practicality is alive and well," said Ted Harris, manager of research and development at QPC.

So whoever holds the checkbook chooses what teens drive.
