Jun. 14--Could Tulare County become a hot spot for tourism?
The Chief Executive Officer of the Tulare County Economic Development Corporation, Paul Saldana, believes the county should be marketed to the masses.
On Tuesday, Saldana told the Tulare County Board of Supervisors that more intense marketing would result in more jobs and more tax revenue from out-of-town visitors.
"In 2005 visitors spent $330.8 million in Tulare County," Saldana said. "That translated into $5.7 million in local tax receipts.
