Jun. 16--Long before Dan Baer began his summer job, he had already mastered the craft of salvage.
Baer, a Dayspring Christian Academy rising senior, is spending the summer working at Andersen's Salvage in Greeley. This past spring, he did everything he could to make sure his track season didn't end up in the junkyard.
After breaking his back in the second game on the football schedule in the fall, he missed the rest of the season.
He healed for winter basketball, but a broken wrist in the second game of the season kept him sidelined until the finale.
